KO Boxing and Fitness provides Manhattan and surrounding communities the opportunity to learn the art of boxing, have support in their personal fitness journey, be healthy and get in shape in a safe and comfortable environment.
Established in 1999, KO Boxing & Fitness is a member of USA Boxing. Owner and Certified USA Boxing Coach, Lorissa Belcher is world recognized by the World Boxing Council, receiving the 2013 WBC Award of Excellence.

KO offers a variety of classes and programs for fitness newbies to advanced athletes.

A fun Kickboxing class with weight training, core and more! We are here to get you in ROCK SOLID shape!

This KO calorie burning workout is an exciting mix of:
• Kickboxing
• Weight training
• Core / Ab burning exercise
• Creative Cardio
• Fun exercise in an encouraging, safe, and no-contact environment!

Students will use proper striking form to tone and melt away fat! Students will use bags, focus mitts, pads and shields. Students will not get hit back!
If you are looking to kick up your workout routine and get in the best shape of your life, then this is the class for you.

"KO Rock Solid" Kickboxing Fitness provides the perfect balance of cardio, core and strength training, giving you a head-to-toe workout! We guarantee you will love the kicks and punches, that are sure to get your blood pumping and your heart racing. KO Rock Solid is perfect for any age, gender, and experience level. All you need is the desire to get is shape kicking fat's butt! We will modify.

At KO you will find a support group of amazing people and we guarantee you will feel welcome and encouraged from day one. We are a community that is supportive and keeps each other accountable.

Self defense maneuvers will also be taught during this course.

Rate: $55 a month or $20 a week.

Coach Lorissa Belcher’s proprietary Boxing 101 program, created in 1999, defines the science of boxing education. Boxing 101, also available for College Credit. Boxing 101 runs two days a week, 1 hour classes, for 8 weeks. Boxing 101 will introduce men and women of all ages, levels and abilities, to the sport of USA Olympic Style Boxing through boxing workouts in a safe and comfortable environment. Boxing 101 breaks down the fundamentals, allowing you to learn the "Sweet Science“ and not get hurt, by using proper form and technique. Boxing 101 works within the participant’s physical limitations and their ability to learn.

Boxing workouts improve physical health, mental focus, help control anger and aggression, build self-confidence and determination. When hitting the mitts and heavy bag, your brain increases production of endorphins, neurotransmitters that create feel-good thoughts in your brain. Punching helps to relieve muscle tension that can collect when you experience stress. KO Boxing workouts will do wonders for anxiety and depression, and allow you to function better in life.


In Boxing 101, as with our Coach lead Intermediate / Advanced Boxing Classes, you WILL WORKOUT. The difference is that we TEACH you how to box. Unlike any other boxing gym, Boxing 101 breaks down the fundamentals, allowing you to learn the "Sweet Science", not get hurt (by using proper form and technique), and get into boxing shape with boxing drills and related exercises necessary to excel in your boxing skills.
